American Songbook Selections

Special lunchtime jazz and lunch!

Lockie Bennett and Daniel Yeabsley will be playing their favourite selections from The Great American Songbook. Expect to hear tunes by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Leonard Bernstein.

Lockie Bennett is a regular-gigging jazz guitarist based in Wellington. He plays both as a leader and as a sideman with some of New Zealand's best musicians. Lockie is a graduate of the New Zealand School of Music—Te Kōkī.

Dan Yeabsley is a graduate from the Wellington Polytechnic Conservatorium of Music. He is a multi-instrumentalist and with each band he appears to play a different instrument. He regularly plays with The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, Fat Freddie’s Drop, The Troubles, Jelly Rolls Trio (Ben Wilcox & John Rae), and Twinset (with twin brother Chris).
