Hopetoun Brown and the Genius of Finn Scholes

This is the first show Hopetoun Brown have played anywhere in over three years and you have to go back quite a bit further for their last show in the capital!

The essential saga is the Supergroove horn-section built a heart-stomping duo based around a huge pair of cowboy boots, a bass clarinet, a trumpet and a set of golden tonsils.

Tim Stewart and Nick Atkinson then went on to record four albums, collabed with Tami Neilson, Marlon Williams and many more before conquering festival stages at WOMAD and Splore.

Rumours of a falling-out at Waiheke Jazz fest swirled and nothing was heard from the pair until now! Joined by their long-time super-starring-in Finn Scholes, this twin trumpeted bluesy beast rears its head again for one night only at Bedlam and Squalor.
