A picnic lunch and new music inspired by the Gardens

Join Jake Baxendale and friends as they delve into new approaches to composition and improvisation in the beautiful seclusion of Mount Victoria's Innermost Gardens.

Inspired by writers in the environmental humanities such as Anna Tsing, Robin Wall-Kimmerer and Ursula Le Guin, Jake is on a journey to connect his practice to his relationship with the natural world. Setting a concert in the gardens is just one more step in this ever-evolving process.

There will be two sets at 12:30pm and 2:30pm, with bread and soup provided in between. All attendees are welcome to join in the meal and may come for both or either set.

The concert will take place outside if the weather is fine, or in the hall if not.
