Seth Boy Trio

LBQ's offering for the 2024 Wellington Jazz Festival will be featuring a trio led by Wellington bassist, composer, and band-leader Seth Boy. The sound of the trio will feature original compositions and arrangements through a tight unison of trumpet (Jack Harré), drum set (Dillon Butcher), and bass violin (Seth Boy), making use of the range of intricacy and intimacy of three like-minded musicians- expect heavy lashings of blues, romantic music, and free improvisation. Come along and join them for an evening of exciting and engaging music.

Seth Boy and his 9-piece band were featured in the 2022 Festival’s Sunday Mixtape. He is excited to bring the same energy and passion to a small ensemble.
